Jett Travolta died after suffering a seizure, not a blow to the head, on Friday while the family was on vacation. So say officials in the Bahamas who are denying that the 16-year-old son of actor John Travolta hit his head when he collapsed in the bathroom.
On Sunday, John and his wife Kelly Preston issued a public statement: "Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered."
Spiffy news for movie fans who have been disappointed at the Best Picture Oscar nominees over the past decade - an honor usually bestowed on artsy fartsy films very few people ever see:

Sad news for actor John Travolta and his wife actress, Kelly Preston, as their son Jett, 16, died today while vacationing with his family in the Bahamas.
It's being reported that Jett Travolta suffered a seizure at his family's vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island. Initial reports say that he fell and hit his head in the bathtub Friday morning. Though attempts were made to revive him, he died at the scene.
Beyonce Knowles has created a hip hop beef with Janet Jackson - by suggesting that the Jackson clan is lower class. Beyonce allegedly said: “I grew up upper class. Private school. My dad had a Jaguar. We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like The Jacksons. But I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation.”

The BBC was shocked - Shocked! - when Sir Paul McCartney did an impromptu "trans-racial" impersonation of Michael Jackson on the air. McCartney is said to have talked in a high-pitched Jackson-style voice when asked about the once-black-man turned middled-aged white-woman singer, which the usually insensitive and over-the-top BBC decided was too outrageous, even by non-existent British standards.
A BBC source told the Daily Mail: "McCartney started to reply in this high-pitched Jacko voice, and apparently it was very funny. But the BBC - deeply nervous, perhaps because of the Jonathan Ross-Russell Brand affair - has declined to broadcast the interview."
