Superstars Kanye West and Jay-Z were spotted laughing it up at Nello’s in NYC on Friday night. Kanye has been a twitter addict since joining a few days ago and even tweeted about dinner with “his big brother”.

Halle Berry was spotted in a wetsuit and bikini top as she filmed a scene for “Dark Tide” in South Africa. The actress is allegedly set to swim with the killer sharks as production for the film begins for three months. This will mark the actress’s first role since giving birth in March 2008.
In related news, Halle was also accompanied by daughter Nahla and her ex-boyfriend, model Gabriel Aubry (not pictured), with reports that Gabriel refused to be without his daughter for the three months Halle is set to be on set.

Interviewer Allison Hagendorf and singer Shontelle visit fuse Studios earlier this week in New York City. Shontelle’s latest single ‘Impossible’ is doing pretty good on the charts. It peaked at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100.
According to That Grape Juice, Shontelle is set to choose “No Gravity” as her second single.

Omarosa currently stars in the reality dating show The Ultimate Merger, but word is she’s dating actor Michael Clarke Duncan. The two arrived together at the premiere of Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday (July 25).

Do you remember the artist formerly known as Kevin Michael? Well, he’s back, with a new band, entitled THEY with a brand new track entitled, “Areola.”
Kevin, who now refers to himself only as K, alongside THEY and B. Kidd produced this new sound that he’s going for.
THEY will follow K through his futuristic journey, Looking For L.I.S.A., in which they recorded their album as if it were the years 1980-1989, with influences like David Bowie, Queen, Michael Jackson, George Michael, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Prince and Cameo, to name a few.

Producer-gone-artist Bei Maejor gives Concrete Loop an exclusive listen at what he’s cooking up on his upcoming free album, uʍop ǝpısdn (Upside Down).
“Gamez,” featuring famed songwriter-turned-artist Keri Hilson, is the first offering from the project, which is hosted by Clinton Sparks and features a flurry of features, which Bei Maejor assures that fans will not be disappointed by.
He also added that he wrote and produced the free album all on his own, and that it will be available for download within the coming weeks.

Earlier this week, there were rumors going around the industry that Alicia Keys fired her whole management staff and Jeff Robinson of MBK Entertainment Inc. (the man who has managed Alicia since her teenage years) has released an official statement saying they have only “modified the structure of their business relationship.”
The official press release goes into detail:
Jeff Robinson, CEO of MBK Entertainment Inc., and 12 Time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys have decided to modify the structure of their business relationship. Robinson and Keys will continue to collaborate on future albums together through MBK/J Records while Alicia will oversee other aspects of her career.
MBK Entertainment Inc. has been the management firm for Alicia Keys since she was a teenager-guiding all aspects of her career, including world renowned multi platinum award winning album, films, and branding opportunities. Keys and Robinson have mutually and amicably agreed to pursue other opportunities.
This decision will allow Alicia more control over all aspects of her career from singing and songwriting, to leading many business ventures and social causes. Keys’ company, AK Worldwide, will now have responsibility and oversight for Alicia’s touring, endorsements, sponsorships, licensing, new business development, television and film ventures.
MBK, a multifaceted entertainment company with a film, television, publishing and independent marketing divisions, will continue to focus on developing the careers of new, young talented artists such as Elle Varner and Gabi Wilson, who are both signed to MBK Entertainment. The company will also delve deeper into the gospel music format with their newly formed Glory to Glory Records.
Keys and Robinson have mutually and amicably agreed to pursue other opportunities.
Alicia, who took a fall a couple of weeks ago during the Essence Music Festival, is currently pregnant with her first child by producer Swizz Beatz.

Ja Rule is prepping the follow-up album to last year’s Mirror.
Here’s the first single from his upcoming album, The Renaissance Project, “Man Is Down.”
Originally, the album was titled after his debut album, Venni Vetti Vecci 2010, but as he got closer to finishing the project, the title changed.
The Renaissance Project is set to hit stores at the end of 2010.

It’s been three years since Rich Boy released his self-titled debut album, but he’s teamed with Lloyd and Drake to premiere his lead single, “To the Floor.”
The new track comes from Rich Boy’s forthcoming sophomore album, Buried Alive, which he’s been working on with Polow Da Don for the past couple years.
No word on when Buried Alive will drop, but it’s slated for late 2010 release.
T.V. Personality Angela Simmons was spotted at Play Nightclub’s comedy show with Bow Wow’s manager Ant on Wednesday night in South Beach, FL. No word on if that is her new boo though.

Ne-Yo presents the mini-movies for “Beautiful Monster” and “Champagne Life”, the first two singles from his upcoming fourth album Libra Scale.
Ne-Yo revealed that “‘Beautiful Monster’ is one piece of a very long and intricate story. When you see the first video, make sure you’re paying attention because all of the videos tell a story. So pay attention — you don’t want to miss nothing. ‘Beautiful Monster’ represents the love interest / arch nemesis in the story [of] Libra Scale, which the entire album is based off of.” Libra Scale is set for release September 21.

Former Roc princess Teairra Mari is still working on her oft delayed sophomore album, At That Point.
It seems that she has switched gears a little bit now, and is working on a 7-track EP entitled, Sincerely Yours, which she hopes to put out on August 17th. It’s said that the new track, “Body,” is supposed to be the new single from the forthcoming EP.
No word on when At That Point will hit stores.
